Minutes of the Old Lyme Economic Development Commission of the Meeting of 7/1/15
Meeting commenced at 8 AM in the Old Lyme Town Hall. Present were Bob Jose, John Stratton, Susan Howard, Bill O’Meara, Howard Margules and Gerry Foster.
We discussed the following topics:
1. Real estate news from last month showed 155 units for sale, of those, 19 under contract, 14 are over $1MM. In real estate news, the OL shopping center has been sold and Dunkin Donuts will be moving into Coffee Works’ spot on Halls Rd, but we understand, no drive in window. .
2.No additional news on Soundview development program nor Main Street/Halls Rd grant.
3 Nothing new on the bike/hiking trail development .
4. Further discussion on the River COG presentation and its relevance to eco development in OL.
5. We talked about the OL farmers market looking for a new organizer and home in town with the possibility of the town providing a site. Could be an economic stimulus for the town.
6. Suggestion raised to have Bonnie attend our next meeting to discuss primarily Halls rd and Soundview developments.
7. Meeting adjourned at 9:05 AM.
